June 24th Update

Session is over for this year. We finished at 2:30 am on Saturday, June 13th. The last day was long and eventful. Early in the day, the transportation budget was debated in the House and then brought back to the negotiation table to rework it so both parties could agree on it. This was done without adding a gas tax. In the evening, after negotiations, we voted again on the transportation budget and received the 2/3rd vote we needed to pass the budget and keep 2,300 people in their jobs.

Bonds were also still being discussed on our last day. It was agreed on that the bond package to go to referendum would be $150 million. You can see an outline of the bonds and when they go to referendum here. Bond Package Outline.
